Japanese WW2 Army Officers Sword

Overall length is 39".  The blade is 26" to the notch. The blade has very clear visible hamon with no flaws but has some minor staining and light pitting in places, very heavy blade and thick along the back edge all the way along the blade. 

The tang is signed with one hole and has a showa stamp.  Copper habaki, 2 seppa, nice brass showa period crane Tsuba. 

The handle has good same`.  Tight original  brown binding, military menuki, brass showa style fuchi kashira with copper patina. Black lacquered  wood saya, wooden kurikata, good but worn leather combat cover with working press studs.  Signed "KANENORI".
