Antique Japanese Samurai Kabuto

Antique Japanese Samurai "Namban Kawari Kabuto".  Made up of russet iron plates with five stage black lacquered neck lames, dark blue silk lacing with green and multi colour lacing around the edges. The turn backs each side of the Kabuto are covered in printed leather with decorative edge and family mon or crest in the center.  

Inside of the peak is lacquered red, lining is stitched blue hemp, silk neck cord. This style of Kawari Kabuto was inspired by foreign ( probably Spanish ) influence. 

Overall condition is original and good, Dates to the mid-to-late EDO
period, around 200 years old.  Comes with a Japanese made wood stand to display it on.
