This is a English .56 percussion pistol, 1842 pattern coast guard Australian, made by Wilkinson, 6" barrel, fixed ramrod, regulation brass mounts. has 'P2' stamped on the trigger guard. birmingham proof marks. this pistol was part of a contract between the Australian 'Victorian' Colonial Government anf James Wilkinson to arm the Colonial Police Force. the pistol is in good tight condition, there is a small repair or crack in the wood at the front. but it does not detract from the overall condition, 12" long overall.
